Memories of yester-me, yester-you, yester-day, turned into yester-years.
Oh how I miss those yester-days when we danced the night away.
We danced our way into romance. Didn't matter where we were,
if the music Was right, we could have danced all night.
Before we knew it there was Pitter-patter of little feet
that made our life complete.
Oh how I miss those yester-days. Before we knew it,
they turned into Yester-years of memories that get in my way.
Memories of you, coming through the door, whistling to our favorite music,
Dancing across the floor. If I was too busy to dance, you would
Pick up the baby and dance some more.
Now, we have yester-day and yester-years of romance that brought
us to Yester-now of Grand-kids and theirs to watch them
Dance into romance.
But, memories of yester-me, yester-you will always get in my way.
I miss and want more of those yester-days to turn into
Yester-years, when we danced the night away.
